 At AHF, we believe horsemanship thrives when everyone has a chance to participate. Our year-round competitions and events welcome riders of all ages and experience levels, offering something for every style, speed, and saddle.

Aurora Horsemen Foundation (AHF) hosts a variety of local English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, and Gymkhana competitions throughout the year. Our shows and special events bring together horsemen and their families to connect, learn, and compete for exciting awards and prizes.

We offer youth, adult, and leadline classes suitable for all ages and skill levels. Gymkhana events include barrels, poles, keyhole, flags, inline, and wildcard races. Our English riding classes feature Pleasure, Equitation, Pattern, Discipline, Trail, and Showmanship, while Western divisions include Ranch Pleasure, Horsemanship Pattern, Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, Trail, and Showmanship.

GYMKHANA

Fast turns, big prizes, and all-ages fun.

Gymkhana brings the energy. These speed-based events are packed with excitement, encouraging riders to push their limits while building confidence and control. Perfect for youth riders, families, and anyone who loves a little adrenaline, Gymkhana events are some of the most spirited—and spectator-friendly—competitions we host.

WESTERN PERFORMANCE

Tradition, technique, and the joy of the ride.

Western Pleasure competitions at AHF showcase calm, responsive horses and riders who understand the art of subtle cues. Rooted in tradition but open to all experience levels, our Western classes emphasize consistency, control, and the easy rhythm that defines great horsemanship. It’s competition with a laid-back spirit—and a whole lot of pride.

Western events include Ranch Pleasure, Horsemanship Pattern, Horsemanship, Ranch Riding, Trail, and Showmanship.

Our English Pleasure shows highlight the elegance and communication between horse and rider. Focused on balance, form, and smooth movement, these classes celebrate discipline, horsemanship, and the quiet confidence that comes from a well-trained partnership. Whether you’re stepping into the ring for the first time or refining your skills, English Pleasure at AHF is welcoming, supportive, and rewarding.

The Rocky Mountain Wranglers Drill Team is AHF’s newest and most exciting addition—a team-based riding experience that blends choreography, horsemanship, and collaboration. Drill team riding builds trust between horse and rider while emphasizing timing, communication, and unity across the group. It’s as inspiring to watch as it is to ride—and a powerful way to connect with the broader AHF community.
